Recommended Action It is recommended that the City Council and Board of Directors of the Hesperia Water District 1) Award a construction contract for the Ranchero Road Aqueduct Crossing of the Ranchero Road Corridor Widening Project (C.O. No. 7139) to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder, Beador Construction Company, Inc. for the base bid amount of $18,824,700; 2) Approve a 10% contingency in the amount of $1,882,470 for a total not-to-exceed contract amount of $20,707,170; 3) Approve the design of the project represented by the plans and Contract Documents and Specifications; and 4) Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the contract and any documents related thereto.
