Community Development Director's Report on Planning Commission Actions at the January 25, 2024 meeting: (a) Grass Prohibition (ORD24-001) - Consideration of a recommendation to the City Council to approve adding Section 9-4.508 (“Prohibiting the installation of grass in new residential development”) to the Emeryville Municipal Code and amending Section 6-10.02 (“Nuisances: Weeds”) of the Emeryville Municipal Code. CEQA Status: This project is exempt from environmental review under State CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), “common sense exemption”, because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the proposal may have a significant effect on the environment* * This item is scheduled for a public hearing by the City Council on February 20, 2024.
