- 13 NEW BUSINESS
- 14 A. CASA El Dorado - Rose Breitweiser Grant funding allocation: $3000 Request to modify language of the initial grant request for auditing and tracking purposes: Initial wording was $500 for gas cards specific to youth at the JTC. Funding is $3000 so would like to update/change the wording to $1000 in gas cards and broaden this to all families in the Juvenile Justice System not just the JTC to help with travel to courts, placements, etc...help give parents better access to services and their kids. The remaining $2000 would go towards trauma informed training for CASA staff as well as outreach and recruitment. Commission Chair Guerrero has the original grant proposal - Ms. Breitweiser will put this request in writing for the commission via email. Commissioner Lilly asked: while he agrees with the broader scope of support, he still would like some fund set aside specifically for those at the JTC - other commission members agreed. - When Ms. Breitweiser sends this to the commission for modification and review this can be added. Ms. Breitweiser asked how the commission would like this reported out? Quarterly report on where funds are being spent. How many cards and to whom. How many associated with placement or court or JTC visitation.
