Human Resources Department and the Sheriff’s Office recommending the Board: 1) Approve and adopt the new department-specific classification specification for Sheriff’s Emergency Call Taker; 2) Approve and adopt the revised classification specifications of Sheriff’s Public Safety Dispatcher I/II and Sheriff’s Public Safety Dispatcher Supervisor; 3) Adopt and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 139-2026 to: a) Approve the Job Class Number, bargaining unit designation, and salary range for the new Sheriff’s Emergency Call Taker classification; b) Approve the addition of 4.0 FTE Sheriff’s Emergency Call Taker allocations; and c) Abolish the unused classification of Sheriff’s Sr. Public Safety Dispatcher. FUNDING: General Fund.
