Elections Department recommending the Board consider the following: 1) Delegate authority to the Registrar of Voters to execute the 24-25 Election Security Contract, based on the award letter, to receive Help America Vote Act grant funding in the amount of $15,789 for a term of June 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, for activities to improve the administration of elections for Federal office, including to enhance election technology and make election security improvements; 2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget transfer to increase revenue and appropriations to the Elections Department by $15,789 (4/5 vote required); and 3) Authorize the Registrar of Voters to administer any subsequent 24-25 Election Security Contract amendments to extend the grant funding period without changing the grant amount. FUNDING: 100% Federal HAVA Grant Funding.
