1. Adopt the attached resolution declaring 18 County-owned parcels located in the Pacific Shores Subdivision as “exempt surplus land” under Government Code § 54221 and authorize the County Administrative Officer, or designee, to negotiate a purchase agreement with the State Wildlife Conservation Board (WCB) and the Smith River Alliance, as requested by the Assistant CAO.**
2. Authorize and direct staff to process only one of the two Title III Funding applications received by the Gasquet Fire Protection District and the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue: (<em><u>Application #1</u>)</em> authorize and direct staff to process the Title III funding application submitted by the Gasquet Fire Protection District in the amount of $47,511.50 for the purchase and installation of two Atlas 1200 repeaters and associated communication equipment at Camp Six; <strong><u>or</u></strong> (<em><u>Application #2</u></em>) authorize and direct staff to process the Title III funding application submitted by the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Unit in the amount of $45,361 for the purchase of a Ford F150 pickup truck to support search and rescue operations on federal lands, as recommended by the Director of the Community Development Department.**
3. Authorize the County Administrative Officer, or designee, to issue a task order under the County’s existing on-call professional services agreement with Nichols, Melburg & Rossetto (NMR) in an amount not to exceed $48,000 for the Feasibility and Planning Study for the Justice Services Campus, and authorize the CAO to execute related documents, as requested by the Assistant CAO.**
4. The Chair requests any deletions, corrections or additions from Board members to the agenda at this time. In order to add an item to the agenda, the matter must have come to the attention of the County subsequent to the posting of the agenda and the matter requires action before the next regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
