- Project: Reynor Carport Removal and New Garage, Project 26-2394-CDP/ARB/NOV<br>Address: 5522 Calle Ocho<br>Applicant: Dylan Chappell, Architect<br>Planner: Bret McNulty<br>Request by Dylan Chappell, applicant, on behalf of property owner, William Reyner to consider Project 26-2394 for preliminary review of a proposal to demolish an existing 421-square-foot carport and replace it with a new 475-square-foot, two-car garage with two doors in the same location, adjacent to an existing 2,500-square-foot single-family residence. Due in part to the property's irregular shape and the proposed garage's location, both the front and southeast elevations of the garage would be visible from Calle Ocho. The project would resolve a notice of violation (NOV) issued for constructing a garage around the existing carport frame without the required permits and would bring the property into compliance with the City of Carpinteria Municipal Code and the California Building Code.
