These consumables are essential for accurate water-quality testing, maintaining regulatory compliance, protecting public health, and ensuring that water systems remain safe and reliable. A dollar limit increase is needed to ensure the department can continue purchasing necessary laboratory supplies while the City conducts a solicitation for our own contract. The Water Resources Department and Procurement Services recommend increasing the dollar limit with USA Bluebook by $62,247.84, from $97,752.16 to $160,000 annually, with an annual increase allowance of up to 5% or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
