Paladino's Italian Eatery A restaurant that serves lunch and dinner is requesting a new Series 12 Restaurant License for Richard Thomas Slayton, Sole Proprietor, 2711 South Alma School Road Suite 4. There is no existing license at this location. (District 3) Recommendation for Denial: Mesa City Staff recommend the City Council enter an order recommending disapproval of the liquor license application because public convenience and the best interests of the community will not be substantially served by issuing the license. The applicant has not obtained all necessary licenses and permits for which the applicant is liable at the time of the liquor license application. Specifically, the applicant has not obtained the following: (i) General Business License as required by Mesa City Code 5-5-3(A); (ii) Transaction Privilege Tax License as required by Mesa City Code 5-10-300(A) and; (iii) Fire Safety Operational Permit and inspection as required by Mesa City Code 7-2-2(a)(5) and the 2018 International Fire Code Section 105.1.1. Additionally, the applicant has not made the required alterations to the liquor application filed with the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses & Control and the City of Mesa to accurately reflect the physical location of the proposed licensed premises and the ownership entity that is requesting the license.
