An ordinance amending Mesa City Code Title 4 (Building Regulations), Chapter 8 (Mesa Existing Building Code) pertaining to the adoption by reference of the 2024 International Existing Building Code and Amendments to the 2024 International Existing Building Code. The amendments include but are not limited to: repealing in its entirety Section 4-8-1 and replacing it with a new Section 4-8-1 (Compliance Options); repealing in its entirety Section 4-8-3 and replacing it with a new Section 4-8-3 (Option B - International Existing Building Code, Adopted by Reference); replacing Section 4-8-4 with a new Section 4-8-4 (Option B ‒ Amendments to the 2024 International Existing Building Code); and renumbering the Penalty Clause as Section 4-8-5.
