Purchase of Fire Monitors for the Mesa Fire and Medical Department (Sole Source) (Citywide) The Mesa Fire and Medical Department will be placing BlitzFire® monitors on the City's pumper trucks. These portable monitors can flow up to 500 GPM either in an attended or unattended mode. These monitors will allow a single firefighter to conduct an effective fire attack and can be used to assist in ventilating commercial structures. The acquisition of these simple, light, and highly maneuverable attack monitors will better equip our department for large Lithium-Ion fires, including electric vehicle fires. The Mesa Fire and Medical Department and Procurement Services recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, L.N. Curtis & Sons at $146,000 based on estimated requirements.
