Dollar Limit Increase to the Term Contract with Two Years of Renewal Options for Private Security Guard Services for Various City Departments (Citywide) This increase is for security officer salary increases based on industry standards for security guards, which are allowable per the contract. The respective departments are in support of the increases and agree this will attract high-quality security personnel to our contract pool. Additionally, Economic Development will begin using this contract at AZLabs. The Mesa Police, Economic Development, Arts and Culture, and Library Departments and Purchasing recommend increasing the dollar limit with Universal Protection Service, LP dba Allied Universal Security Services by $615,000 from $1,540,000 to $2,155,000 annually, based on estimated usage, and with an annual increase allowance of up to 5% or the adjusted Consumer Price Index.
