Purchase of One Gas Chromatograph Mass Selective Detector System (Replacement) for the Mesa Police Department (Sole Source) (Citywide) The purchase will provide a Gas Chromatograph Mass Selective Detector for Forensic Services Toxicology Unit. The new equipment will be used to test blood and urine specimens for the presence of impairing drugs of abuse. The new equipment will replace a ten-year-old system that is nearing its end of life. The Police Department and Purchasing recommend awarding the contract to the sole source vendor, Agilent Technologies, Inc. for $125,000. This purchase is funded by Police Department Capital General Funds.
