Purchase of a Large Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Robot (Replacement) for the Mesa Police Department (Citywide) The Police Department’s Bomb Team operates as a Regional Response Team which responds to calls for services within several other cities in the valley. During certain situations, the team uses EOD robots to respond to potential threats. This purchase will replace the Department's existing, older EOD robot with one that has cutting-edge technology for safeguarding our communities. A committee representing the Police Department and Purchasing evaluated responses and recommend awarding the contract to the highest-scored proposal from Remotec Inc. at $415,000, based on requirements. This purchase is funded by Grant Funds and General Funds.
