AMENDED AND RESTATED GOODYEAR VOLUNTEER AND RESERVE FIREFIGHTER RETIREMENT TRUST ALTERNATE PENSION AND BENEFIT PLAN RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 16-1771 APPROVING THE AMENDED AND RESTATED GOODYEAR VOLUNTEER AND RESERVE FIREFIGHTER ALTERNATE PENSION AND BENEFIT PLAN. PURPOSE: The Goodyear Volunteer and Reserve Firefighter Retirement Trust (GVRFRT) Pension and Benefit Plan (the “Pension Plan”) was created in 1990 and revised in 2001. The 2016 revised plan updates the information to reflect that it only covers volunteer firefighter participants. It implements a governance structure whereby the volunteer firefighter participants direct the operation of the Pension plan rather than the City of Goodyear officials and employees.
