COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PACKAGE AMENDMENT FOR ESTRELLA FALLS RECOMMENDATION: Approve an amendment to the Comprehensive Sign Package for Estrella Falls, subject to stipulations. PURPOSE: The subject request is an amendment to the existing Comprehensive Sign Package for Estrella Falls, within the Goodyear Planned Regional Center Planned Area Development (PAD), generally located along McDowell Road between Bullard Avenue and Pebble Creek Parkway. The amendment establishes sign types and design standards that furthers the unified theme of the overall development. As proposed, the signage reflects the regional significance, location, size and scope of Estrella Falls. Staff finds the requested amendment is consistent with the Zoning Ordinance and recommends approval of the amendment. At their regular meeting of March 16, 2016, the Planning and Zoning Commission considered this request and voted 6-1 to forward a recommendation of approval to the City Council.
