ACCEPTING THE FFY 2014 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT PROGRAM AWARD RECOMMENDATION: Accept the Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNE) Response Team Reallocation Grant of $5,850 awarded by the Arizona Department of Homeland Security (AZDOHS) to the Goodyear Fire Department, and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute any and all documents necessary for the award and administration of the grant. PURPOSE: The grant will provide additional funding for peripheral equipment used to recharge and calibrate our existing MultiRAE hazardous materials detection meters. The UASI CBRNE/HAZMAT Response Team will continue to provide response to both local and regional hazardous materials incidents and statewide events while maintaining interoperability communication capabilities through the grant award.
