PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER APPROVING A USE PERMIT TO ALLOW THE INSTALLATION OF AN IRRIGATION WELL ON TRACT 16E OF CANTAMIA PHASE 2 POD 4 RECOMMENDATION: 1. Conduct a public hearing to consider a request for a Use Permit. a. Open public hearing b. Staff presentation c. Receive public comment d. Close public hearing 2. Approve a Use Permit to allow an irrigation well on Tract 16E of CantaMia Phase 2 Pod 4, subject to stipulations. PURPOSE: AV Homes, Inc. is requesting approval of a Use Permit to facilitate the development of an irrigation well on Tract 16E of CantaMia Phase 2 Pod 4 to fill the lakes within the development. The subject property is an undeveloped tract within the CantaMia Planned Area Development (PAD). Staff finds this Use Permit application meets the conditions and required findings for a use permit and satisfies additional Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) and city Public Works requirements. The Planning and Zoning Commission moved to recommend approval with a vote 5 to 0 at their February 17, 2016 meeting. (Alex Lestinsky, Planner II)
