IGA WITH MARICOPA COUNTY IN REGARDS TO THE MARICOPA TRAIL RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 16-1736 AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH MARICOPA COUNTY TO SUPPORT A PORTION OF THE MARICOPA TRAIL THAT PASSES THROUGH GOODYEAR AND CONNECTS THE WHITE TANKS REGIONAL PARK AND THE ESTRELLA MOUNTAIN REGIONAL PARK. PURPOSE: The Maricopa Trail is a long-term goal of the Maricopa County Parks and Recreation Department, which connects all ten of their regional parks with one another through a network of trails and paths. The purpose of this agreement is for the city to formally provide support for a portion of this trail that would pass through Goodyear. (David Seid, Parks and Recreation Manager)
