COST-SHARING AGREEMENT WITH APS AND SUNBELT HOLDINGS FOR RELOCATION OF A 230KV TRANSMISSION LINE POWER POLE RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 15-1738 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO FINALIZE AND EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH ARIZONA PUBLIC SERVICE AND SUNBELT HOLDINGS FOR THE RELOCATION OF A 230KV TRANSMISSION POWER LINE POLE GENERALLY LOCATED AT CAMELBACK ROAD AND COTTON LANE. PURPOSE: The PV303 business park is an exciting project and is drawing more interest from large commercial users than any other master-planned business park in the Southwest Valley. In order to facilitate development in this corridor, the existing 230kv transmission line power pole at Camelback Road and Cotton Lane must be relocated. Arizona Public Service (APS), Sunbelt Holdings, and the city of Goodyear will enter into a cost participation agreement for the pole relocation project, which has a total cost of $300,000. Each participating group will pay $100,000 to equally contribute to the project, with the city’s portion to be facilitated through a FY 16-17 capital improvement project request. (Bob Beckley, Deputy City Manager)
