APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT A TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT YUMA ROAD AND CANYON TRAILS BOULEVARD RECOMMENDATION: Approve a budgeted expenditure of $472,299.84 for traffic signal equipment, city permits, and award of a construction contract for installation of a traffic signal at Yuma Road and Canyon Trails Boulevard. PURPOSE: Approval of this expenditure allows the City to enter into contract with AJP Electric for the installation of a traffic signal at Yuma Road and Canyon Trails Boulevard. A traffic signal is currently warranted at the intersection of Yuma Road and Canyon Trails Boulevard, and is budgeted in FY 15-16 of the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) as CIP Project Number ST1606.
