SOUTHWEST VALLEY FAMILY ADVOCACY CENTER INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT RECOMMENDATION: Approve the First Amendment to the Amended and Restated Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with the City of Avondale, City of Buckeye, City of Goodyear, and County of Maricopa, acting by and through the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO); and authorize the Mayor or designee to execute the IGA for the continued operation of the Southwest Family Advocacy Center. PURPOSE: Approval of the First Amendment to the Amended and Restated IGA allows for law enforcement to continue providing services to those victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault and elder abuse. The IGA will share all annual operating, maintenance, and repair costs equally with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, cities of Avondale, Buckeye and Goodyear. (Jerry Geier, Chief of Police)
