ACQUISITION OF 7 ACRE PARCEL ADJACENT TO THE GOODYEAR MUNICIPAL COMPLEX RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 14-1690 APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THE APPROXIMATE 7 ACRE PROPERTY LOCATED SOUTH OF THE GOODYEAR MUNICIPAL COMPLEX “PD OPERATIONS FACILITY SITE” FROM KCI GOODYEAR NORTH, LLC., AN ARIZONA LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY FOR $4.00 PER SQUARE FOOT OR APPROXIMATELY $1,219,680; AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO MAKE NON-SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES TO THE ATTACHED PURCHASE AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO TAKE ALL ACTIONS AND EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE INTENT OF THE RESOLUTION AND THE PURCHASE OF THE PD OPERATIONS FACILTY SITE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. PURPOSE: Council is being asked to consider the approval of the Purchase Agreement for the PD Operations Facility Site, along with authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents to complete the purchase of the Property. The proposed site is being purchased for the development of the Goodyear Police Department Operations Facility and is located just south of the Goodyear Municipal Complex (GMC). (Linda R.
