MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE NATIONAL INTEGRATED BALLISTIC INFORMATION NETWORK RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 14-1680 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN THE CITY OF PHOENIX POLICE DEPARTMENT (PPD) AND GOODYEAR POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONAL INTEGRATED BALLISTIC INFORMATION NETWORK (NIBIN) PROGRAM. PURPOSE: The execution of the MOU for the use of Phoenix PD’s NIBIN program will allow Goodyear the resources that might otherwise be unavailable to assist investigations in an effort to combat, link, and solve violent crimes involving firearms by using automated ballistic imaging technology.
