ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (I-1) ZONING DISTRICT TEXT AMENDMENT RECOMMENDATION: 1. Conduct a public hearing to consider approval of a text amendment to a portion of Article 3-4-3 (Industrial Districts Standards) of the City of Goodyear Zoning Ordinance, as amended, to increase the maximum allowed building height in the Light Industrial (I-1) Zoning District from 40 feet to 50 feet and other related changes. a. ADOPT ORDINANCE NO. 14-1311 AMENDING ARTICLE 3-4-3 (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS STANDARDS) OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE, AS AMENDED, TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM ALLOWED BUILDING HEIGHT IN THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL (I-1) ZONING DISTRICT FROM 40 FEET TO 50 FEET AND OTHER RELATED CHANGES; PROVIDING FOR CORRECTIONS, SEVERABILITY, AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND PENALTIES. PURPOSE: The purpose of the staff-initiated Zoning Ordinance text amendment is to increase the maximum allowed building height in the Light Industrial (I-1) Zoning District from 40 feet to 50 feet to provide the potential for a higher clear-story height within buildings in the I-1 Zoning District.
