CONTRACT FOR HISTORIC GOODYEAR WATER LINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the City Manager to execute contract #14-2956 in the amount of $630,653.00 to RedPoint Contracting to construct Project No. WA1402, Historic Goodyear Water Line Replacement Phase III. PURPOSE: The City was awarded a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) in the amount of $589,670 to design and construct new water lines and a new storm drain in the Historic District, Goodyear Estates area. The new water lines will replace older existing water lines and the new storm sewer will help to alleviate flooding during rain events. The design services for this project were completed by the City Engineering Staff. The approval of this contract allows the City to proceed with the construction stage of the water line and storm sewer improvements. (Troy Tobiasson. Project Manager)
