GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY GRANT (GOHS) AWARD RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 14-1642 ACCEPTING GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY (GOHS) GRANT AWARD FOR $17,000; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL DOCUMENTS FOR THE AWARD AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE GRANT. PURPOSE: The Goodyear Police Department has been approved for a grant in the amount of $17,000 by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for the purchase of a Speed Monitoring Trailer and Stat Software. The purchase of this equipment will enhance speed enforcement throughout the City of Goodyear. (Jerry Geier, Chief of Police)
