REVOCABLE LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ON BEHALF OF ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SERVICES RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 14-1602 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE A REVOCABLE LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH THE ARIZONA BOARD OF REGENTS ON BEHALF OF ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY FOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SERVICES IN THE CITY LIBRARY. PURPOSE: The agreement grants Arizona State University (“ASU”) a revocable license to provide business development services through the ASU Entrepreneurship & Innovation Group (formerly referred to as the Alexandria Network), which is designed to provide support for the innovation economy within designated libraries. ASU will combine elements of the co-working spaces, along with expert library fact-finding services, and ASU startup resources, into one designated place that innovators and entrepreneurs can use on a daily basis to work on their ideas while also getting mentorship, advice and access to practical academic classes both online and in the libraries.
