BANNER THUNDERBIRD MEDICAL CENTER EMERGENCY BASE STATION AGREEMENT RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 14-1597 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO ENTER INTO THE EMERGENCY BASE STATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN BANNER HEALTH AND CITY OF GOODYEAR, SERVING AS AN ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT (ALS) BASE MEDICAL FACILITY FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. PURPOSE: This contract renewal will allow Banner Thunderbird Hospital to continue providing the Goodyear Fire Department with medical direction as required by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Division of Emergency Medical Services. Medical direction is an AZDHS requirement for all pre-hospital agencies providing pre-hospital Advance Life Support (ALS) level services. (Paul Luizzi, Fire Chief)
