FIRE MOU LANGUAGE AMENDMENT RECOMMENDATION: Approve amended language to the MOU between the City of Goodyear and the United Goodyear Firefighters Local 4005 pertaining to Article 6: Wages and Compensation. PURPOSE: The current language in the Fire MOU, Article 6: Wages and Compensation, C., pertaining to “Retention Premium Pay” addresses the calculation of overtime for firefighters. The intent of this language is to keep firefighters’ pay whole when they use sick and/or vacation leave. The amended language provides greater clarity, specifically in reference to when vacation and sick leave are excluded or included in the calculation of overtime.
