APPOINTMENT TO THE GOODYEAR CITIZEN CORPS COUNCIL RECOMMENDATION: 1. Reappoint Larry Atkinson to the Goodyear Citizen Corps Council to represent the Business community for a two-year term expiring October 28, 2015. 2. City Clerk will administer the Oath of Loyalty. PURPOSE: The Goodyear Citizen Corps Council (GCCC) was created in March, 2010 to foster stronger local interest in emergency preparedness and community volunteerism. The Council is composed of members from four volunteer groups: Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS), Fire Corps, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and Neighborhood Watch, as well as members from the faith community, the education community, and local businesses. A subcommittee of the City Council, composed of Council members Joanne Osborne, Wally Campbell and Bill Stipp, met on September 9, 2013 and is recommending that Larry Atkinson be reappointed to the Goodyear Citizen Corps Council for a two-year term.
