REAPPOINT DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE TO THE FIRE PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL RETIREMENT BOARD RECOMMENDATION: 1. Reappoint Joe Hernandez as Fire Personnel representative to the Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board, for a four-year term, ending October 28, 2017. 2. The City Clerk will administer the Oath of Loyalty. PURPOSE: The Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board has been in existence in the City of Goodyear since January 1990. Terms of the six members serving on the Board are four years, staggered every two years. Joe Hernandez’s term expired October 10, 2013. Representatives from the Fire department are elected by secret ballot per A.R.S. 38-847.A.1. The Fire Department held an election from September 04, 2013 to September 18, 2013 and Joe Hernandez was reelected by Secret ballot. (Maureen Scott, City Clerk)
