APPOINTMENT TO GOODYEAR VOLUNTEER AND RESERVE FIREFIGHTER RETIREMENT TRUST RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 13-1572 ACTING UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF A.R.S. §9-954, ET SEQ. PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF LARRY LANGE AS LAY PERSON FOR THE GOODYEAR VOLUNTEER AND RESERVE FIREFIGHTER RETIREMENT TRUST. PURPOSE: In February 1990, the City Council adopted an alternative pension plan for volunteer and reserve firefighters in the City of Goodyear, Arizona. The bylaws were revised in 2001 to ensure that the latest laws and case history were recognized and to provide for a compliant plan. It is recommended that City Council adopt Resolution 13-1572 appointing Larry Lange as Lay Person of the Goodyear Volunteer and Reserve Firefighter Retirement Trust per A.R.S. §9-954.
