EXTEND THE FINAL PLAT APPROVAL FOR ESTRELLA PARCEL 5.1 IN GOLF VILLAGE RECOMMENDATION: Approve a 90 day extension for the Estrella Parcel 5.1 Final Plat approval, extending the approval date 90 days to November 16, 2013. PURPOSE: The final plat for Estrella Parcel 5.1, generally located along the west side of Westar Drive south of San Miguel Drive, was approved by City Council on May 20, 2013. According to the subdivision regulations, the final plat must be recorded with the Maricopa County Recorder within 90 days or the final plat approval expires. A request for an extension must be received before the final plat expires. The final plat for Estrella Parcel 5.1 expired on August 18, 2013. Newland Communities submitted a request for an extension of the final plat approval for Estrella Parcel 5.1 on August 14, 2013. The reason for the request for an extension is due to unresolved issues regarding the North Water Solution agreement. The final plat for Estrella Parcel 5.1 cannot be recorded until the terms of the North Water Solution agreement are met. Newland Communities has been working with the City to meet these terms.
