PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER AMENDING THE GOODYEAR PLANNED REGIONAL CENTER FINAL PLANNED AREA DEVELOPMENT TO ALLOW AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY ON A PORTION OF PARCEL 12 DESIGNATED FOR COURT HOMES RECOMMENDATION: 1. ADOPT ORDINANCE NO. 13-1283 AMENDING THE GOODYEAR PLANNED REGIONAL CENTER FINAL PLANNED AREA DEVELOPMENT TO ALLOW AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY ON THE SOUTHERLY 5.13 ACRES OF PARCEL 12 DESIGNATED FOR COURT HOMES LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF PEBBLECREEK PARKWAY AND VIRGINIA AVENUE; AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF GOODYEAR; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. PURPOSE: This request is for an amendment to the Goodyear Planned Regional Center Final PAD to allow the development of an assisted living facility. The facility is proposed on the southerly 5.13 acres of Parcel 12 located at the northeast corner of Pebblecreek Parkway and Virginia Avenue. Parcel 12 is currently designated for court home development. The assisted living facility, as proposed with this PAD Amendment, will be compatible with the existing and proposed land uses in the surrounding area.
