APPOINT POLICE PERSONNEL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE POLICE PUBLIC SAFETY PERSONNEL RETIREMENT BOARD RECOMMENDATION: 1. Appoint Scott Daniel as Police Personnel representative to the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board, for a four year term, ending May 20, 2017. 2. The City Clerk will administer the Oath of Loyalty. PURPOSE: The Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board has been in existence in the City of Goodyear since January 1990. Terms of the six members serving on the Board are four years, staggered every two years. Pete Gutierrez has retired and is no longer a Police representative to the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board. His departure has created a vacancy on the Board. Representatives from the Police department are elected by secret ballot per A.R.S. 38-847.A.1. The Police Department held an election from April 29, 2013 to May 10, 2013 and Scott Daniel was elected by Secret ballot. (Maureen Scott, City Clerk)
