FINAL PLAT EXTENSION FOR PALM VALLEY PHASE 9 RECOMMENDATION: Approve a 90 day extension for the Palm Valley Phase 9 Final Plat approval, extending the approval date for 90 additional days to July 27, 2013. PURPOSE: Since the approval of the Palm Valley Phase 9 Final Re-Plat on January 28, 2013, Voyager Properties has been working with staff to finalize construction plans for the development. During this time, the applicant had a home builder who was ready to purchase the property and start immediate development. The applicant was recently informed that the homebuilder was not continuing with purchasing this subdivision. The applicant has a new home builder that intends to proceed with the development. However, the new home builder will need approximately 75 days to complete this purchase. They intend to start construction immediately after they purchase the property and have the subdivision plat recorded. The applicant is hereby requesting an additional 90 day extension for the previously approved final subdivision plat. (Brett Burningham, Planner III)
