INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH MCDOT FOR DYNAMIC MESSAGE SIGNS ON MC 85 AND MCDOWELL ROAD RECOMMENDATION: ADOPT RESOLUTION 13-1536 AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE MARICOPA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO IDENTIFY AND DEFINE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COUNTY AND CITY FOR THE COST SHARING, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT, AND FUTURE OWNERSHIP, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS OF DYNAMIC MESSAGE SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. PURPOSE: This agreement defines the responsibilities of the City and County for the cost sharing, design, construction, construction management, and future ownership of a federally funded project that will be administered by MCDOT.
