A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A REQUEST TO REZONE FROM THE PLANNED AREA DEVELOPMENT (PAD) ZONING DISTRICT TO THE LIGHT INDUSTRIAL PARK (I-1) ZONING DISTRICT WITH A PAD OVERLAY FOR THE PROPOSED ELWOOD LOGISTICS CENTER RECOMMENDATION: Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the City Council approval of a request for a 78-acre rezoning from the Planned Area Development (PAD) zoning district to the Light Industrial Park (I-1) zoning district with a PAD Overlay for Elwood Logistics Center, located at the southeast corner of Sarival Avenue and Elwood Street, north of MC-85, subject to stipulations. PURPOSE: This is a request for approval of a rezoning from the Planned Area Development (PAD) zoning district to the Light Industrial Park (I-1) zoning district with a PAD Overlay for the proposed Elwood Logistics Center on approximately 78 acres at the southeast corner of Sarival Avenue and Elwood Street, north of MC-85. Staff has determined, subject to the recommended stipulations, that this request meets the considerations established in the Zoning Ordinance for approval of an amendment to the Zoning Map.
