1. Mr. Underwood will address the Council regarding the Sportsplex project, raising concerns about taxpayer funds, facility maintenance, contract compliance, and whether the Alabama Ethics Commission should investigate
2. Court Clerk Jennifer Thorp will present a proposal to increase the fee for the City’s Driving School program.
3. City Clerk Brittney Walker will present a proposal to add a new position in the Storm Drainage Department: Pump and Equipment Maintenance Operator.
4. City Clerk Brittney Walker, at the request of Council President Ken Sockwell, will present a proposal to increase the municipal lodging tax from 3% to 10%, with an ordinance scheduled for consideration on October 20, 2025 and an effective date of December 1, 2025.
