  15. 11 A. Head Start
  16. 12 1. The Deputy Director stated that the Head Start FA1 has been all cleared up. Certifications were provided and we received a release.
  17. 13 2. The current DHS shut down has no affect on our programs at this time.
  18. 14 B. CAA Board Meetings
  19. 15 1. Deputy Director stated that the Open Meetings Act (OMA) training will be held annually.
  20. 16 2. The CAA Board also need to review our mission statement and strategic planning to make sure they are aligning with our current by laws.
  21. 17 3. The CAA Board needs to select new executive officers: Chair, Vice-Chair, and Secretary.
  22. 18 C. LIHEAP
  23. 19 1. Considering reducing Liheap outreach from 2 days down to 1. Attendance is lower and this would allow staff to be in office and offer more phone appointments.
  24. 20 2. Disconnections can occur April 1st or when the temperature is higher than 30 degrees for 3 consecutive days.
  25. 21 D. Weatherization
  26. 22 1. We are wrapping up with our obligated 2 year Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) with Rockford Housing Agreement (RHA). This will not be renewed as we are looking to commit to an IGA with the other housing authority and possible other areas to assist.
  27. 23 E. CSBG
  28. 24 1. Our Scholarship Program will be starting within the next 2 months.
  29. 25 2. Our Gardens Program should be sending out applications soon.
  30. 26 a. Strategic planning meeting was originally set up with Director of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Unfortunately he passed away. We will continue looking to see how we can work together with the NAACP.
  31. 28 A. Dorothy Redd announced the Rockford Association for Minority Management (RAMM) Scholarship Banquet is hosting their 27th Banquet for scholarships to high school students. It will be held at Tebala Event Center from 6pm to 9pm.
