  1. 1 The City of Signal Hill appreciates your attendance. Citizen interest provides the Commission with valuable information regarding issues of the community. Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Meetings begin at 6:00 pm. There is a public comment period at the beginning of the regular meeting, as well as the opportunity to comment on each agenda item as it arises. Any meeting may be adjourned to a time and place stated in the order of adjournment. The agenda is posted 72 hours prior to each meeting on the City’s website and outside of City Hall. The agenda and related reports are also available for review online at www.cityofsignalhill.org.

  9. a. On February 4, 2024, Governor Gavin Newsom proclaimed a State of Emergency for eight counties in Southern California, including Los Angeles County, as a series of winter storms began impacting much of the State with high winds, damaging rain, and heavy snowfall. As of February 6, 2024, the City of Signal Hill experienced significant damage to the Panorama Promenade resulting from the winter storms associated with the emergency. The Public Works Director will provide an update on the status of the Panorama Promenade trail. 24-162
  10. b. Recreation Coordinator Azuree Struiksma will provide a presentation of the 2023/2024 winter programs and events organized by the Parks, Recreation and Library Services Department. 24-168
  11. c. The annual California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS) conference took place Tuesday, February 27 through Friday, March 1, 2024 in Palm Springs, California. Chair Kiss Lee and Commissioner Dutch Hughes will share their experience attending the conference. 24-161
