- 1. Maples Tree Removal Coastal Development Permit (CDP) Record Number: PLN-2026-19577 Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN): 403-022-041 The project site is located in the Eureka area, on the north side of Woodland Way, approximately 1,000 feet east of the intersection of Pigeon Point Road and Woodland Way, on the property known as 5177 Woodland Way. A Coastal Development Permit (CDP) to authorize tree removal associated with a CALFIRE 0 - 150’ Structure Protection Exemption. Eight Redwood trees are proposed to be removed ranging in size between 12” and 40” DBH (Diameter at Breast Height). The parcel is approximately 0.76 acres and developed with a single-family residence. The parcel is served with community water provided by the Humboldt Community Services District and an on-site wastewater treatment system.
- 2. Hufford, Coastal Development Permit and Special Permits Record Number: PLN-2025-19298 Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN): 520-211-001 Orick Area A Modification to a previously approved Coastal Development Permit (CDP). The original permit authorized the removal of an approximately 1,450 square-foot manufactured home and replacement with an approximately 1,584 square-foot manufactured home in the same location. The Modification will authorize additional grading to create additional parking and flat area surrounding the new residence with the installation of a four-foot retaining wall. Approximately 320 cubic yards of cut material will be excavated around the residence and filled on the slope adjacent to the residence. Cut and fill will be balanced on site. The parcel is served with on-site water and on-site wastewater treatment systems. A Special Permit is required for Design Review.
- 3. Vero Fiber Networks, LLC Coastal Development Permit (CDP) Record Number: PLN-2026-19547 A Coastal Development Permit (CDP) for Vero Fiber Network for the installation of fiber optic cables within existing rights-of-way utilizing trenchless underground alignment.
- 4. McKinleyville Community Services District Force Main Assessor Parcel Numbers (APN) 511-001-008 Record No.: PLN-2026-19557 McKinleyville area A Coastal Development Permit (CDP) for the McKinleyville Community Services District (MCSD) to replace the existing 10-inch sewer force main between the Letz Avenue Lift Station and the Murray Road manhole with a new force main. The existing force main is primarily buried within the yards of residences. It will be capped on both ends and abandoned. The new force main will be installed within an open cut trench that will be dug along the Hammond Trail. No new service connections will be added, and no increase in wastewater will occur as a result of the project.
- 5. Abare Coastal Development Permit Parcel Numbers (APN) 510-371-014 Record No.: PLN-2026-19578 McKinleyville area A Coastal Development Permit (CDP) for the removal of an approximately 960 square-foot mobile home and replacement with a new approximately 1,404 square-foot manufactured home on a permanent foundation in the same location. A shed and animal shelter will also be demolished. The site is currently developed with the existing mobile home and a detached garage and shed. The site is served with community water and sewer provided by the McKinleyville Community Services District.
