The question was put: Are there any corrections to the Common Council Journal of Proceedings for the regular meeting June 2, 2026? There being none, the minutes of the meetings were approved without objection. Ald. Coggs recognized members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority (AKA) in attendance and their 12th anniversary of AKA Day at City Hall today. Ald. Coggs is a proud Member of the AKA Sorority. Ald. Coggs moved that the Common Council resolve itself into Committee of the Whole for the purpose of making a presentation. There were no objections. Ald. Coggs made a presentation recognizing the Milwaukee Juneteenth Day pageant winners who where crowned during the 55th annual Juneteenth Day festivites. Milwaukee Juneteenth Day pageant winners recognized as follows: Gianna Cooks, Miss Juneteenth 2026 Jace White, Mister Juneteenth 2026 Ava Garry, Little Miss Juneteenth 2026 Michael Terry, Jr. Little Mister Juneteenth 2026 Ald.
