Informational/Action Item: Approval of the 2025 Specialized Transportation for Older Adults Vendor, Commissioner Amber Miller, Chair of Service Delivery Committee B. Action/Discussion Item: 2024 Specialized Transportation contract amendment with TransDev, Daniel Idzikowski, AAA Director C. Action/Discussion Item: Advocacy Item, Commissioner Brian Peters, Chair of Advocacy Committee: • Approval to send a letter to the Milwaukee County federal congressional delegation regarding the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget, requesting that they take action to pass a budget which includes increased funding for aging programs and services. • Approval to send a letter to the Milwaukee County federal congressional delegation urging support for MIPPA program funding and that action be taken to protect older adults from predatory Medicare practices. • Approval of 2025-2027 State Budget advocacy priorities as such: o Increase funding to support paid and family caregivers. o Increased funding for ADRCs and aging programs and services. o Increased funding for fixed route transit, specialized transportation, and the creation of a regional transit authority. D. Action/Discussion Item: Approval of Recommendations from the MKE HUBS Report, Commissioner Gene Guszkowski, Chair of Senior Center Committee • The contents of the MKE HUBS Report should be presented publicly to select groups to garner strategic support. • The Milwaukee County Commission on Aging should pursue long term partnerships with philanthropic organizations, not for profit entities, and like-minded service providers who will benefit from the vision of engaged mature generations of Milwaukee County residents as described in the MKE HUBS report. • A separate non-profit fund-raising entity, modeled on the Friends of the Parks or Parks Foundation, should be created to build support for Senior Centers as necessary public institutions. E. Informational Item: Acceptance of Milwaukee County into the AARP Age Friendly Community Network, Commissioner Amber Miller F.
