- 5 (i) An ordinance amending City Code § 14-234, concerning the site-specific refinement of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area boundaries
- 6 (ii) An ordinance declaring a public necessity for and to authorize (a) the acquisition of the real property known as 4700 Trenton Avenue and a portion of 2001 Walmsley Boulevard and (b) the grant and acceptance of certain easements relating to the acquisition of such real property

- 7 (iii) An ordinance authorizing the Chief Administrative Officer to accept $53,054.00 from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and appropriating the increase to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Special Fund Budget to the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney

- 8 Upon the President’s request, Deputy City Clerk RJ Warren provided information on the appropriate manner in which the Council Chamber is to be evacuated in the event of an emergency.
- 11 City Council will hold a public hearing on the following ordinances on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.:
- 1. To authorize the Chief Administrative Officer, for and on behalf of the City of Richmond, to accept funds in the amount of $53,054.00 from the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services and to appropriate the increase to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Special Fund Budget by increasing estimated revenues and the amount appropriated to the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Richmond’s Victim Witness Special Fund by $53,054.00, for the purpose of funding a victim witness program.
- 2. To amend and reordain City Code § 14-234, concerning site-specific refinement of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area boundaries, for the purpose of authorizing the Chief Administrative Officer to make certain adjustments to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area boundaries.
- 14 City Council will hold a public hearing on the following ordinance on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 6:00 p.m.:
- 3. To declare a public necessity for and to authorize (i) the acquisition of the real property known as 4700 Trenton Avenue and a portion of 2001 Walmsley Boulevard and (ii) the grant and acceptance of certain easements relating to the acquisition of such real property, for the purpose of creating a City park, constructing a right-of-way for the extension of Walmsley Boulevard from Commerce Road to Richmond Highway, and developing an economic development site for commercial and civic growth with a workforce development component. (8th District)
