Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A.1, .3, .7, and .8 to discuss possible successors to the City Attorney and to discuss appointments to the Economic Development Authority, Hampton Redevelopment and Housing Authority, Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads, Citizens Engagement Advisory and Review Commission (CEARC), and Neighborhood Commission; to discuss or consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose in the Kecoughtan Road corridor, where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the city; to consult with legal counsel employed or retained by the City regarding actual or probable litigation where such consultation or briefing in an open meeting would adversely affect the negotiating or litigating posture of the city; and to consult with legal counsel employed or retained by the City regarding specific legal matters involving trademark and licensing requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
