Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A.1, .3 and .8 to discuss City Council appointees, appointments to the Citizens Engagement Advisory Review Commission (CEARC) and an appointment to the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP); to discuss or consider the acquisition of real property for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held real property in the areas of the Magruder corridor, Kecoughtan Road corridor, Shell Road, North King Street, and Downtown Hampton where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the city; and to consult with legal counsel employed or retained by the city regarding specific legal matters pertaining to pending litigation and zoning matters which require the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
