Closed session pursuant to Virginia Code Sections 2.2-3711.A.3 and .7 to discuss the acquisition of real property for a public purpose and/or the disposition of publicly held real property in Downtown Hampton where discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the City Council and to to consult with legal counsel employed or retained by the City regarding actual litigation and specific legal matters pertaining to property in the areas of Downtown Hampton, North Armistead Avenue, Olde Hampton, Pasture Point, and Wythe requiring the provision of legal advice by such counsel.
