- 38.00 A quorum of the Commissioners’ Court may attend the following events: Budget workshops will be held at various times from 9:00am - 4:00pm on the 2nd floor auditorium at 916 Main Street on June 23, 25, and June 30, 2026. The Budget Committee, which includes the Commissioners’ Court, may attend. The Budget Committee will hear requests from County departments which are requesting County funding for FY 2027 that have the greatest impact on the General Fund’s budget over last year’s budget. These requests may include but are not limited to precinct road operations and maintenance, capital expenditures, salaries, benefits, personnel issues, departmental operational expenses including travel and training expenses, contract and professional service expenses, and other budgetary requests. Discussions may include but are not limited to budget policies, priorities, timelines, and updates. These workshops will be recorded and posted on the Lubbock County website at www.lubbockcounty.gov the Monday following the workshop. Other workshops may be scheduled in July and August.
